All standards are traceable to National Standards and are manufactured and certified according to ASTM D2162, the internationally recognized primary method for viscosity reference standards, under ISO/IEC17025 guidelines. All viscosity standards are based upon the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) value of 1.0034 cSt (Centistokes) for water at 20☌ (68☏).
Koehler viscosity reference standards are used for calibration and verification of kinematic and dynamic viscosity test equipment, both manual and automatic.
